The project is located in the mountainous area of the Cahabón River, in the municipality of San Pedro Carchá, department of Alta Verapaz. The Hydroelectric Renace operates with four power stations: Renace I, Renace II, Renace III and Renace IV. Operating capacity is 301MW.
